Welcome to our next outdoor “silent” film screening. By silent, we mean using headphones and car stereos for the broadcasting of the soundtrack, to avoid disturbing the local area.

The haunting horror thriller, The Shining. Stanley Kubrick at his very best. Set at the infamous and remote Overlook resort hotel, Jack takes his family to caretake through the winter and finish his book. All does not end well. Hold on to your handbrake, this is going to get scary!

Certificate 18 – scenes of gore and horror. Suspense and feeling of threat and menace.

The Event Details

The film will start at 19:30 and last for around two hours. You can arrive any time from 18:30.

Whilst this is a Drive In event we are keen for people to come by bike to this screening; we will ensure that any that do cycle get good positions and unrestricted views. Do be prepared for bad or cold weather though, as you’ll be seating out in the open.

We’re going to be using radio transmission sound technology to broadcast the soundtrack to your vehicle. You will be handed an audio receiver on arrival at the venue through your car window or to hand if you cycle. This can be plugged into your car stereo via an AUX cable with a 3.5mm (standard headphone socket) or can be used with regular headphones (NOT Apple lightening connector) and/or a headphone splitter to allow multiple headphones to be connected to a single unit. Alternatively it could be plugged into a portable speaker (in your vehicle).

We will supply the receiver and can supply a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable. We will NOT supply speaker, headphones nor a headphone splitter, these will need to be brought to the event by yourselves.
